Hamed Wardak is an Afghan-American and founder and CEO of NCL Holdings, LLC. NCL Holdings, LLC is a global professional services company that has helped to generate local employment in Afghanistan. Hamed Wardak was born in Kabul, Afghanistan and was raised in Pakistan and the United States.
Hamed Wardak was the valedictorian of Georgetown University in 1997, where he received his BA in Government and Political Theory. He was elected to be an American Rhodes Scholar and read for the M. Phil and M. Litt in Politics at the University of Oxford. During his early career, he worked in mergers and acquisitions at Merrill Lynch in New York and Palo Alto, California. From 2004-2005 Hamed Wardak was a Managing Director for International Operations with Technologists, Inc.
Along with his work as the founder and CEO of NCL Holdings, Hamed Wardak is also a philanthropist and activist for Afghan causes. He is one of the six founders of the Campaign for a US-Afghanistan Partnership (CUSAP). He is a founder of Fedayeen-e-Sol, a civil society movement aimed at creating national and governmental reform in Afghanistan. Hamed Wardak is also a founding vice-president of the Afghan-American Chamber of Commerce. His father is Abdul Rahim Wardak, the Defense Minister of Afghanistan.
