The birth anniversary of the holy prophet is known as Mawleed al Nabi. According to the Islamic lunar calender it is observed on the 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal. Celebrating Mawleed al-Nabi in Kabul holds special significance for the Muslims due to the reverence they give to the holy prophet Muhammad. Despite this there are restrictions in celebrating Mawleed al-Nabi in Kabul.
